Bernthal, the punisher, is at peace with the possibility of a Netflix cancellation

It seems that the relationship between Netflix and Marvel TV is coming to an end, although the jury still has not decided whether The punisher will also be canceled. If that's the case, Jon Bernthal is at peace with that.

This will be the second season of Bernthal as Frank Castle of Marvel, and we expect the show to follow shows such as Daredevil, Iron fist, and Luke Cage, all of which have been canceled. This leaves Jessica Jones and Punisher, and although Bernthal would like to continue as a character, he is not left out if it's the end of his Punisher series.

"I know the reality of the situation and I'm at peace with it," Bernthal told Variety. "I only worry about things that I can control, when I play the character and do the work and it's right in front of me, I do everything I can to make it as good as I can But in this area, there are so many things that we can not control, but whatever happens with these shows, these decisions are made in rooms that I have not been invited to, and that suits me.

Netflix canceled Daredevil shortly after season 3 published on the streaming service, despite good reviews, some calling it the best season of wonder TV period. That was not enough to save him, so chances are punisher and eventually Jessica Jones follow.

All of this stems from disagreements between Marvel TV and Netflix about how these broadcasts should be managed. Netflix wanted to shorten the seasons to make them stronger and avoid mid-season lulls. It would also make them less expensive to produce, but Marvel did not want to lose any revenue, especially for characters they could not use in other projects, such as Marvel's Cinematic Universe.

It was also the last tie of both, as Disney was already transferring their upcoming movies to their new Disney + streaming service from Captain Marvel instead of making it debut on Netflix. It was therefore logical that Netflix cuts the entire cord at this point and continues to focus on the original programming.
