Backstage News on Why The Revival has asked for its WWE release, another teasing star wanting to leave?

Earlier this week, after their match with Lucha House Party on the Monday night episode of GROSS, The Dawn, Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder have asked for their release from WWE leadership, according to Dave Meltzer on Fight Observe Radio. While The Revival asked for their release, Meltzer added in the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Information Letter that the release has not yet been granted. He noted that no release is granted to anyone who requests it "for obvious reasons".

Pro Wrestling Sheet now indicates that the reason for the request is not based solely on its reservation, but on that of the entire division. The report says the lack of focus, promotions and attention has become a point of frustration for Dash and Dawson.

Apparently, this frustration subsided on Monday when their match against WWE Tag Team Champions RAW Tag, Bobby Roode and Chad Gable, was not featured in the show. Gallows and Anderson (who were initially considered major recruits) and Authors of Pain are examined as other examples of outstanding teams not having much time on television.

The Revival has been part of the main roster since April 2017 and has not yet won any gold medals at the WWE Championship. In comparison, the duo has seen much more success in NXT, where they are twice NXT Tag Team Champions and won the team's end-of-year awards and match of the year for their match against Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa in a two-on-three match for the NXT Tag Team Championship at NXT TakeOver: Toronto.

The report also noted that both sides have been discussing since Monday, but it is unclear if anything has been resolved. Dash and Dawson also have a "decent time" on their contracts, which means they may have to be away a bit if the WWE simply sends them home.

Earlier in the day, Sasha Banks and Dawson exchanged a few words on Twitter and Dawson said, "No matter where we go, we steal the show." Banks posted a GIF saying "Take me with you!"
