Authorities who investigated a measles outbreak in southwestern Washington on Saturday said they dismissed two suspected cases, but identified three new places where people may have been exposed to the highly contagious viral disease. .

After declaring a public health emergency, the Clark County Public Health Department said the number of confirmed measles cases remains at 19 and that five more cases are suspected.

Confirmed cases include 15 children under 10, three people aged 11 to 18 and one adult.

One of them was hospitalized and 16 others were not vaccinated.

Health officials also removed Legacy Emanuel's Randall Children's Hospital in Portland from the list of potential exposure sites, but added three more at Battle Ground, Washington, including Maple Grove Schools, River HomeLink and A Children's Dentist.
