The third generation of Skoda Superb, launched in 2015, will soon be revamped. The first images of the luxury sedan have now been released before the official debut, which will take place in March 2019 at the Geneva Motor Show.

Skoda Superb facelift 2019 was spied on several times, each time under intense camouflage. This last observation was without camouflage, which attracted attention on its renovated exteriors.

We can clearly see the new front bumper, the cutouts for the parking sensors, a new grille and the revamped headlights. The lighting groups will meet on the sides of the signature butterfly grille to give the impression of a more expansive front fascia.

There will also be bi-xenon units, fog lamps and a chrome bar. The rear of the new Skoda also receives some modifications with LED taillights and sharper graphics. The new Skoda will sit on alloy wheels of new design. The interiors of the Skoda Superb 2019 will also receive updates, especially with regard to technology, but the comfort and convenience features will also be updated.

The Skoda Superb 2019, the first Skoda model to receive a plug-in hybrid powertrain, will be powered by a 1.4-liter TSI petrol engine delivering 156 horsepower and a 115 horsepower electric motor. This will provide a combined power of 217 PS with the electric motor, which will receive a battery of 12 kWh offering a total autonomy of 70 km. Other engine options will also be reflected in the updated model compliant with BS VI emission standards. The 1.8-liter TSI petrol engine delivers 180 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque, while the 2.0-liter TDI diesel is capable of delivering 177 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque.

The launch of the updated Skoda Superb in India later this year will see the model rival the likes of the Honda Accord, the VW Pbadat and the new Toyota Camry.
