KHAR: After three polio cases in the Bajaur tribal district have been detected in the last three months, local government officials and the health department have pledged to adopt an effective strategy to eliminate definitely the disabling disease of the region.

Deputy Commissioner Usman Mehsud and doctor Wazir Khan Safi, district surgeon, said at a press conference in the run-up to the three-day polio campaign, which will begin Monday.
