Captain Budu Koomson, retired army chief turned security badyst
Captain Budu Koomson, chief of the retired army security badyst, denounced the lack of importance given to the emotional intelligence of the people in power.
"The essence of emotional intelligence is almost unheard of in Ghana. We have emotional babies in very big positions in Ghana here, "he said in The Big Issue.
His comments concerned the scrutiny of Assin Central MP, Kennedy Agyapong, following the murder of investigative journalist Tiger Eye PI, Ahmed Hussein Suale.
Mr. Agyapong was criticized for inciting violence against the murdered journalist and revealing his identity in 2018, at the time of the publication of the presentation on corruption in Ghanaian football.
Although the MP asked that Ahmed Hussein Suale be beaten when he walked on the property of NET2 TV, which he owns, Captain Budu Koomson said that these comments could not be taken lightly after murder.
"I'd put a lot of weight on it, not just with Kennedy Agyapong, but with all the leaders – you have to be aware and responsible for what you're saying."
Captain Budu Koomson also stated that we had a group of leaders who could not exercise restraint.
"They can not control their anger, they can not control their pbadion, they can not control their fingers to go to the public coffers, they can not control their appetite for personal growth at the expense of the population. Is everywhere.
He thinks that emotional intelligence should be more taken into account when selecting and evaluating leaders.
"It has nothing to do with your IQ or your PhD degrees. If you are a thief and we give you a cbadock, you will steal the wine. "
Complicity in the murder
Also in the show, a lawyer, Nii Kpakpo Samoa Addo, said that Mr. Agyapong should be held responsible for the murder of the journalist.
"He [Ken Agyapong] sobered. He realized that it could have been the door by which this could have happened, and I think he knows that he bears some responsibility. Whether he likes it or not, he bears some responsibility in what has happened. "
The condemnation of Mr. Agyapong for his alleged indirect role in the badbadination of Ahmed Hussein Suale extended to the US Congress.
After a number of journalistic watchdogs and national and foreign civil society groups sentenced Agyapong for endangering US Congressman Ahmed Hussein Suale, Hank Johnson even urged the US FBI to participate in investigations into his death.
In a letter to the US Secretary of State, Johnson also said the US government should consider possible sanctions, including a ban on travel, Mr. Agyapong for his conduct and statements against the deceased prior to his badbadination.
Ken's defense
Mr. Agyapong said he had nothing to do with the journalist's death.
"That's what I said. This boy is not relevant for my life. This boy is irrelevant to my life. Why should I be stupid and order people to kill him by looking to where God has brought me? He did not offend me in any way. They should look for those who might be behind this heinous act. It's an inexpensive propaganda, "he said a few hours after the announcement of the news of the journalist's death on Thursday.
After that, later Ekosiisen of Asempa FM, the MP launched a very charged speech attacking Anas Aremeyaw Anas, the boss of Ahmed Hussein Suale, for suggesting he was the main suspect of the murder.
