The parents of a ten-year-old boy made an urgent appeal to save their son's life after the return of his rare cancer.
Nina and Russell Banks have to raise £ 500,000 to send their son Harry to New York for an innovative surgery to fight against neuroblastoma.
Banks must collect the funds in the next two months before the cancer returns for the third time.
Nina, who lives in Woburn Sands, Bedfordshire, said, "I wholeheartedly hope that we do not have to find ourselves in this situation, but it seems that life can be incredibly cruel and particularly so. for Harry.
Throughout, Harry continued to smile at his beautiful smile. His blue eyes have always twinkled and his two favorite teddy bears, Bengy and Herbert, have been almost glued to him.
"He's the hugest, the most bouncy, the most cheeky boy, and seeing him without bouncing has been so difficult."
Neuroblastoma was diagnosed in Harry in 2014, at the age of six. The disease affects one in every hundred children a year and currently has no cure.
The "bubbly and smiling" boy endured two years of grueling chemotherapy, radiation and major surgeries before completing his treatment.
Harry rang to mark the end of his treatment and took advantage of two years of remission before receiving the terrible news that his cancer had returned in November of last year.
Fullbrook Schoolboy is now back at Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital and is undergoing chemotherapy and ongoing clinical investigations.
The doctors warned the family that even if a two-inch tumor had been removed from Harry's brain, the cancer would reappear without radical treatment.
The trial is underway at the Memorial Sloane Kettering Cancer Center and offers Harry a place in his clinical trial for 8H9, known as the Omburtamab.
The new drug carries radioactive iodine directly into cancer and kills cells.
The doctors recommended starting Harry's treatment in about eight weeks and friends and family have already started raising money to bring Harry to America.
Harry, who loves rugby and plays on his PlayStation, has a brother, Oscar, who is 12 years old.
Nina added, "We are very fortunate to have such supportive family and friends, but to achieve this goal, we need everyone to support fundraising and make a difference.
"I will never allow myself to lose hope, Harry is a strong, stubborn little boy, and he / we will fight."
