China reports outbreak of African swine fever in Ningxia region

BEIJING, Jan. 20 (Reuters) – The Chinese Ministry of Agriculture announced on Sunday a new outbreak of African swine fever in the northwestern region of Ningxia.

The outbreak occurred on a farm of 57 live pigs in Yongning County, infecting pigs and killing 13, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs said in a statement. (Report by Philip Wen, edited by John Stonestreet)
