Liverpool retain a four-point lead at the top of the Premier League while the Reds maintain their title under head coach Jurgen Klopp.
A spectacular 4-3 win over Crystal Palace has kept the gap on the reigning champion, Manchester City, who is struggling to meet the standards he set last season.
Pep Guardiola's men are six points behind their total at this stage of last year, though rivals Manchester United are also underperforming 2017/18.
The Red Devils had their worst start to the season in the Premier League, but have won their previous six games against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Where does this place them when the total points per team are compared to this stage last season?

The wolves continue to prove the surprise package of the Premier League campaign so far, with their last-minute win over Leicester, raising them to eight in the table.
New friends Cardiff (18th) and Fulham (19th) do not come out as well. The Cottagers are heartbroken Sunday against the Spurs.

Second in the Premier League, but that counts less than nothing for the big Guardiola players these days.

Roy Hodgson's men scared Liverpool this weekend, but they still lag behind 12 months ago.

A 3-0 win over Cardiff was an essential boost for the Magpies, who were trying to avoid relegation.

Victory on the wolves would have left the Foxes healthy compared to their previous total, but as they still match their 2017/18 total.

Ralph Hasenhuttl has led his Saints team to four wins since coming to St Mary's and everything looks brighter on the South Coast.
8. Brighton and Hove Albion: + 3pts (+3 places)
The Seagulls have lost this weekend but are still ahead of their impressive 2017/18 total.

The Toffees had a poor defeat against Southampton in their last game but note that things are still better than they were under the previous direction.

A brilliant victory over Chelsea helped lift the recent gloom around the Emirates.

The Cherries have regained their wins against West Ham and are well ahead of their total last year.

Defeat at the weekend can not hurt the work that Manuel Pellegrini does at the London stadium.

Like Wolves, Watford continues to surprise and although a 0-0 draw with Burnley is not ideal, the Hornets will be delighted with their recent performances.
2. Tottenham Hotspur: + 7pts (+2 places)
The men of Mauricio Pochettino left late against Fulham, but three other points have maintained the pressure at the top of the table.

The Reds have overshadowed their inconsistencies over last year with an incessant accumulation of points and have not 13 points ahead of their 2017/18 level.
