The Los Angeles Rams are competing in the 2019 Super Bowl NFL, prompting a strong reaction from Arsenal supporters on social media.
Of course, this concerns the gunners, because the Rams are the property of Stan Kroenke.
The American, who recently took full control of the club, is not exactly the most popular person among supporters following Unai Emery's comments earlier in the month on the lack of funds for permanent transfers in the month of January.
"We can not sign permanently. We can only lend players. Only lend to players, "said Emery. "I do not know his situation at the moment, we will only be able to engage players later, and I know the club is working on the possibilities that players can help us with great performances as we need them now."
This confession made Arsenal fans furious and many focused their attention on Kroenke, a few days after a financial report confirmed their worst fears towards the owner.
A study by football finance specialist Swiss Ramble ( @ SwissRamble ) showed the big difference between the amounts invested by the owners of the biggest teams of the Premier League in their club since 2008.
And Kroenke – whose wealth is estimated at around £ 7 billion – has not spent money to fund Arsenal in the last ten years.
Which means that the Gunners are one of only two clubs not to have had a single penny of owner financing over the past decade, with Middlesbrough.
So, after seeing the Kroenke NFL franchise reach the Super Bowl, there was a huge reaction.
