Caen head coach Fabien Mercadal said he was shocked to learn that former striker Emiliano Sala would be among the pbadengers of a missing plane.
Police have suspended the search for a light aircraft carrying Emiliano Sala, the 18 million-pound contract signed by the city of Cardiff City, after his disappearance over the English Channel en route to the Welsh capital.
The French and British maritime authorities have spent the day looking for aircraft near the Guernsey Island and will resume their efforts at sunrise on Wednesday, according to a Guernsey police statement.

Argentina Sala, 28, was flying from Nantes to Cardiff with another pbadenger when the plane lost radar contact off Guernsey Monday night.
