Guernsey police will resume search and rescue operations of the plane carrying cardiff striker Emiliano Sala on Wednesday.

Guernsey police confirmed that a "number of floating objects" had been found in the water before Tuesday's search was suspended, although rescuers were not able to to determine if they belonged to the vanished aircraft.
John Fitzgerald, chief officer of Channel Island Air Search, said that a cushion and a piece of bent metal were among the items found.

He expects research to resume when visibility improves Wednesday morning.
"We expect to be called around seven in the morning to have time to get to the airport," he said.
"Fortunately, nothing is too far away here, we can be in the air and ready while the light comes on."
