Supreme Court rejects legal action against construction of National Cathedral

The Supreme Court rejected a complaint challenging the state's involvement in the construction of a national cathedral and the establishment of the pilgrimage administration board.

The case of Bomfeh

Last March, Mr. Bomfeh, Acting Secretary General of the Convention People's Party (CPP), invoked the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court of First Instance, arguing that Ghana was a secular state and that it was therefore erroneous that this State is "excessively entangled in a religion or a religious practice".
