An eagle-eyed Liverpool fan has a theory on why the interest in Hudson-Odoi has been reported today.

And he thinks Jurgen Klopp is trying to force Bayern Munich to take the lead for the Chelsea star.

That would make Liverpool the favorite to complete a raid for Werner.

The fan tweeted: the main competitor of CFF for Werner is Bayern who wants him as a player in its own right.

"Their number one target is Hudson-Odoi, but Chelsea does not want to sell.

"The CFL has declared its interest in Odoi, putting pressure on Chelsea to sell it to Bayern instead of a rival – leaving the CFL to control Werner."

Liverpool has not yet signed a contract this month and has four points ahead of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League standings.
