NDC MP for Builsa North James Agalga spoke at a press conference calling for the arrest of Kennedy Agyapong
The NDC has called for the immediate arrest and prosecution of Kennedy Agyapong. It's sad.
Perhaps Kennedy Agyapong might have overstepped his freedom of expression when he called for the beating of Ahmed Hussein-Suale prior to the death of Ahmed Hussein-Suale.
But did we ask the NDC to tell us? This attitude of alleviating all the important issues in this country should have been left in 2018.
After all, credible organizations such as the UN, FIFA and the BBC have all condemned Kennedy Agyapong and called for a swift resolution of the murder. Would not that have been enough?
In Ghana, the best way to destroy an important case is to dissolve it with NDC-NPP. The NDC has added its voice and declared obvious that it has obviously exercised its democratic right to freedom of expression, but for what purpose?
Who will stop Kennedy Agyapong because NDC has said? Who, especially when the nuclear power station is in power? Even those who have made the call wearing robes of credibility will not want to be seen sharing the same point of view with the NDC for fear of not being taken seriously.
NDC should not cry louder than people in mourning. Even the family of Saule acts with restraint and maturity. NDC should not bother anyone.
Trying to prepare the meal of the brutal murder of an investigative reporter is rather cheap. This is not the moment for the NDC to mark a political point.
Without the cheap policy, what would the CND have been in power in a case like this? How many people in the NDC will condemn this Ken action if their member did it?
I say that there is a place for serious governance issues that the NDC has not earned a place to belong. Until we get there, we should not all be distracted.
We should focus on finding Ahmed's killers without the distractions and opportunistic jokes of a largely discredited opposition political party.
I say that Ahmed's killers will be found even though the NDC wants to derail this process by a joke. It is only a temporary setback.
