Asamoah Gyan Training Kumasi Captain of the Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan

Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan is expected to have a club in his hometown, Wenchi, in the Brong Ahafo region.

The Kayserispo striker is currently in the process of acquiring the Young Apostles football club, One Side division, based in Sunyani.

The goalkeeper of the Black Stars, according to information available to Ghana Guardian, has reached an agreement with the Young Apostles football club as the major investor of the club, owned by Owura Domfe, better known as Shelays Dad.

We are told that representatives of Baby Jet and his company traveled to Sunyani, the regional capital of Brong Ahafo, over the last three days to finalize the transaction.

Once the agreement is signed, the team would be transferred from its current base in Sunyani to Wenchi, in the newly created Bono East area, the birthplace of Asamoah Gyan.

The Young Apostles' Football Club was an academy for the Apostles of Power's footballers, Brong Ahafo United, but was separated from the main club two years ago after Mustapha Riga took office as president of the club due to misunderstanding between the two parties.

The club was promoted to Division 1 last season and played very well in its first appearance in the league.
