While Raw and SmackDown were busy putting the finishing touches to the Royal Rumble road this week, NXT was busy with its own masterpiece.
Saturday, with TakeOver: Phoenix, in a few days, the brand has once again managed to create a hype for its pay-per-view program that will precede the Royal Rumble event.
The episode was not only rich in action, but also in two major promotions that helped advance the brand's scenario in an unparalleled way.
The episode had the return of The Velveteen Dream and also included two superb matches of the men's and women's team divisions.
Overall, the show worked well for its Saturday event, which will certainly be a treat to watch and could actually give us a contender for the game of the year the first month of the year.

The # 3 team division of NXT is unmatched
On the one hand, we have Raw, which brings together a host of makeshift tag teams, and some authentic ones that fail to make an impact, causing fans to lose interest in them. .
On the other side, we have SmackDown with teams like Usos, New Day, Good Brothers, Sanity and Bar. Still, Shane McMahon and The Miz are trying to win the championship, arguably the second biggest sight of the year.
Miles is in the NXT team division, which includes the teams of War Raiders and The Undisputed Era at the top for the team championships.
Now, NXT has been strengthened by the teams of Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch, and Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner, who are outstanding teams and have fought several times in televised matches.
Each time, they delivered A-quality matches and let the crowd ask for more, which clearly shows that NXT is far superior in the team division compared to the two main brands.
