Bernard Antwi Boasiako, president of the Ashanti region, said the introduction of the Free High High School (SHS) has made it difficult to get home helpers for the job.
He explained that the most brilliant but needy girls, who served until then as maids to raise money to continue their studies, are now in school, thanks to the good initiative of President Akufo-Addo
"The time when young people after the examination of the Council of Basic Education (BECE) installed in the house helped in order to enroll in apprenticeship", did he declare.
Speaking during an interview on Nhyira FM, President Wontumi commended the government for the free SHS service that, in his view, ensured the girls' future.
