Some Tottenham Hotspur fans are wondering why right-back Kieran Trippier has not been named in the team to face Chelsea in the return leg of the Carabao Cup semi-finals.
The 28-year-old played all but one of Tottenham's matches in 2019 because of Serge Aurier's injury over the holiday season.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino admitted earlier in the season that Trippier had told him that he was tired after returning from an international break with England.
The right-back does not seem to be causing injury, but the decision was made after his recent series of matches to let Trippier rest from this Carabao Cup match, starting with the FA Cup tie at Crystal Palace.
Danny Rose will also be replaced by young back Kyle Walker-Peters.
Aurier intervenes on the back right on the field with Ben Davies on the left back, while Eric Dier in the midfield can also play the right back if necessary.
