While the dust has not yet been settled on the abduction of three teenagers in Takoradi, there has been a report of a new kidnapping in Tarkwa, also in the western region.
Paulina Manu, the principal of Tarkwa High School confirmed the kidnapping of a freshman on Wednesday at Joy News.
According to the director who refused to go to the minutes, the girl was allowed to return home but never arrived.
Ina Thalia Quansah, West Region correspondent for Joy News, reports that the student is from the north of the country and lives with a relative in Prestea also in the region.
A few hours after she left, she called her brother in the north to ask him for money. The perplexed brother wondered why she needed it because she seemed frenzied.
She told him that after choosing a taxi to go to Prestea, she was taken to a place she did not know by strangers and currently in an unknown room.
Ms. Manu told the reporter that she had reported the incident to the Tarkwa police.
The Division Commander told Joy News that they would not talk about kidnapping at this time and asked for the time to investigate.
This latest incident comes as a result of the abduction of three teenagers on whom the police claim that they are getting closer.
