Kwame Bonsu, midfielder of Asante Kotoko
Medeama's chief executive, James Essilfie, has accused Asante Kotoko of disclosing confidential documents of his midfielder, Kwame Bonsu, in an attempt to prove his innocence following a protest by police. Eligibility submitted by Coton Sport after the CAF Confederations Cup triumph last weekend.
Porcupine Warriors officials have done the unthinkable by unveiling Thursday to the media confidential documents of the former head of law enforcement Gefle, after Cameroon protested to the CAF against the Ineligibility of the player.
Coton Sport claims that the ex-convict was not eligible to play in their two-legged ties and slapped at an official protest in front of the governing body of the continent.
The reports seem to have upset the Ghanaian giants who leaked the player's confidential documents to the media in order to influence the court's view of the situation.
And Medeama chief James Essilfie was shocked by the club's conduct, which betrays confidentiality between the parties.
"I am very disappointed with Kotoko's leadership for disclosing essential documents to the media just to prove their innocence and professionalism in the Kwame Bonsu and Coton Sports case,"
"The registration number of the ITC and the CAF should not be transmitted to the media.
"If you do not pay attention to the media, you may even lose your player contract because you want to be seen as a saint."
