The Director General of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Dr. Samuel Annor, was invited to leave office no later than March 2019, says a chairperson.

Mr. Annor leaves the Authority after being appointed in March 2017 just two years in power.

Starrfmonline.com is reliably informed that the obstetric / gynecologist consultant has received a letter from the Ministry of Health asking him to leave his position by the first quarter of 2019.

He was "reminded to leave office mainly because of his age," said a source.

Dr. Annor has not yet responded to calls from Starrfmonline.com and development SMS.

Prior to joining the NHIA, Dr. Annor was a partner of Lister Hospital, a leading international private hospital. He was General Manager of Birim Oil Mill, a palm oil manufacturing plant located in Kade, Kwaebibrem District, Eastern Region.

He was the first chairman of the board of Ghana Airport Company Limited in 2007.
