However, the Grand Master of the group, Navy Captain Kwadjo Adunkwa Butan, paid tribute to the fact that the primary purpose of Freemasonry is to serve and make the world a better place for humanity.
"We are human beings, like everyone else, we do not have special powers or secret deities that we worship, and being a freemason does not give money, power, or glory," he said Thursday at the launch of the group's 10th anniversary at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra.
