SAN FRANCISCO (AP) – A Hawaiian Airlines airline official connecting Honolulu to New York has been rerouted to San Francisco after the death of an attendant with an apparent heart attack.
San Francisco Airport spokesman Doug Yakel said that Hawaiian Airlines Flight 50 had landed in San Francisco on Thursday night after a flight crew member had "suspected heart attack".
Yakel says the medical staff attempted to perform CPR during the flight but suspended his efforts before landing.
The coroner of San Mateo County declared the deceased flight crew member upon arrival.
Yakel says the pbadengers have been on other flights.
Hawaiian Airlines spokesman Alex Da Silva did not immediately respond to an e-mail requesting a comment.
