Debbie McGee of Strictly Come Dancing Reveals Breast Cancer Diagnosis

Strictly Come DancingDebbie McGee revealed that she had recently been diagnosed with bad cancer.

Two tumors were discovered during one of McGee's regular exams and have since been removed successfully, without the need for chemotherapy or radiation therapy.

Talk to The sun about her diagnosis, she revealed that he "scared her to death".

"Even though I had a mammogram [scans for bad cancer] every two years, I never thought for a minute that I would have it myself. It made me very scared, "she said.

"They were talking about total mastectomy, taking flesh from my thighs. It was really scary given my dance – and I was all alone. "

She added that receiving the diagnosis was even more difficult without the help of her late husband, Paul Daniels.

McGee explained that the first surgeon she went to recommended a mastectomy, but instead opted for a smaller operation to remove the affected areas.

"I was worried about what they would find – and very worried about what I would look like.

"It was a really scary moment when they removed all my bandages.

"Still, I could not even see where she [the surgeon] I had cut it. I just thought it was unbelievable.

"I just think I'm the luckiest person in the world because I had a mammogram and it appeared and it's early, I have no scars or anything. It's just amazing and the only reason is that I've had regular checkups.
