Confirmed measles case in Multnomah County

Public health officials said that a case of measles had been confirmed in a resident of Multnomah County, where Portland resides.

The Oregon Health Authority announced on Friday that the agency was working with Multnomah and other agencies to inform people of their potential exposure and help them take action to avoid exposing them. Others if they became ill.

The Clark County Public Health Unit in Vancouver, Washington, has reported 30 confirmed cases of measles since the beginning of the year.
