Alexis Sanchez scored for Arsenal and allowed Manchester United to win the FA Cup in the fourth round, giving them an eighth consecutive win for interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Sanchez is struggling to produce his best form since he swapped Emirates Stadium for Old Trafford a year ago, but was at his best to take the superb superb reverse pbad from Romelu Lukaku and bypbad Petr Cech to give a advance in the 31st minute to United.

Two minutes later, Lukaku was again the creator of the goal. The precise arrival of Jesse Lingard doubled the advantage of United. Even though Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was reducing the gap at the break, the Solskjaer team still kept control.

United's superb save against Aaron Ramsey early in the second half was crucial to keeping Arsenal at bay and United was only rarely worried afterwards.

The cause of Arsenal was not helped by the injuries of leading defenders Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Laurent Koscielny; Substitute Anthony Martial completed United's latest success when he pulled himself together after Petr Cech could not escape Paul Pogba's shot in the eighth minute.
