Southampton defender Cedric Soares has agreed to make a loan to Inter Milan for the remainder of the season.
The former right-back of Sporting Lisbon has made more than 100 appearances and scored twice since arriving at the Saints in 2015.
Soares, 27, went to Italy for his medical examination. The agreement should be finalized on Friday.
It seems that Inter has the possibility to buy the Portuguese international for £ 9.5m in the summer.
The arrival of Soares was caused by the injuries of Inter regarding Sime Vrsaljko, loaned by Atletico Madrid.
Vrsaljko was injured in the knee, which led Inter to consider other solutions, including the Manchester United Matteo Darmian.
