A Member of Parliament warned against political comments seeking to give all the credit to the hard won peace in Dagbon with the current government led by Nana Akufo-Addo.
James Agalga, MP for Builsa North and spokesperson for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the Interior, said on Saturday that it was dangerous for politicians to deliberately leave out the efforts of previous governments to ensure peace in the northern city after 17 years of disagreement.

Brief history
Ghana declared a state of emergency in Yendi, in the north of the country, in 2002, after Ya Na Yakubu Andani II and about 25 of his guards were killed in clashes between factions.
