Former President Mahama is in the limelight with other personalities
Former President John Dramani Mahama is in Tamale, en route to Gbewaa Palace in Yendi for the coronation of the new Ya Na, Abubakari Mahama II.
Today's coronation is the result of years of collaboration between successive governments, the two royal gates of Dagbang and the Committee of Eminent Persons chaired by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
Expressing his joy before the ceremony, Mr. Mahama said in a message on Facebook that "Dagbang will today present the rich tradition and culture of our people".
Mr. Mahama also celebrated the efforts of successive governments, noting that "by working together, the distinguished leaders appointed to help resolve the very difficult conflict of the Dagbon chiefdom, the Andani and Abudu royal families and the Ghanaian people, this important success has been achieved and we have a new Yaa-Naa. "
He also congratulated the two royal families and the distinguished leaders led by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
