Boateng becomes the first Ghanaian to play for Barcelona
Kwabena Yeboah, president of the Ghana Sports Writers Association (SWAG), kicked off the suggestions of a section of Ghanaians calling for the inclusion of Kevin Prince Boateng in the Black Stars.
The 31-year-old is suspended indefinitely from his national duties. He was sacked alongside Sulley Muntari at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil after being accused of verbally abusing head coach James Kwesi Appiah.
Last Monday, KP Boateng made a shock transfer from Sbaduolo to the Spanish giant Barcelona, becoming the first Ghanaian and the 14th African in the rich history of the Catalan club.
He took out a 6 month loan with a purchase option of 8 million euros.
This decision required calls for him to be included on the national team as the Black Stars prepare to break AFCON 2019's setback of 37.
This Kwabena Yeboah, as he is affectionately called "the writer", believes that this is not a wise decision, because the player in question is an opportunist who decides only to play in tournaments that are favorable to him.
However, he warned his coach Kwesi Appiah that, although football is based on solidarity, he should not be wrong in inviting the signatory to Barcelona.
"People forget that if you form a team, it's not a question of how you can play alone but you need collective discipline." It's impossible for me to say that Kevin Prince Boateng should be recalled ".
"Sulley Muntari has always been loyal to the national team but has never turned his back on us, maybe his temperament will be the problem, but I will vouch for Sulley Muntari and give up on K.P Boateng." Kwabena Yeboah said on Joy FM.
The Dzamefe inquiry commission proposed to invite Sulley and Boateng to join the Black Stars as they apologized for their conduct in Brazil 2014.
Sulley Muntari apologized, but Kevin Prince Boateng has not done so yet.
