X Men and Glbad star James McAvoy can accommodate Saturday Night Live tonight, and even though tonight may be full of laughter, it was not exactly the case in 2018. The actor Charles Xavier / Professor X recently revealed that he was almost dead last year.
In a recent interview with Men's Journal (via ET Canada), McAvoy explained how a fairly routine biopsy of a stain on his lungs had turned into a life-threatening infection that did not occur. Not only hit the actor for three weeks over the same period. hospital, but almost cost him his life too.
"It almost killed me," McAvoy said. "It was very scary, a terrifying thing to cross."
The trial began last April when the actor showed up for a physical routine. However, when doctors found a suspicious shadow on the X-ray of his lung, they opted for the biopsy. The shadow turned out to be nothing, but the infection at the biopsy site was a much bigger problem. While he survived the infection and the incident, McAvoy explained that the illness was giving him a little perspective and helped him understand that he needed to have a little bit of more balance in his life – especially since he's a parent – which means more movies. closer to home and more selective in his work.
"Do not get me wrong, I'm not leaving my sector," he said. "I love my job, I like it … But there must be more balance."
As for his work, McAvoy's latest film, Mr. Night Shyamalan Glbad is ready to win his second weekend at the box office. In Glbad, McAvoy resumes Split role of Kevin Wendell Crumb, a man with a number of personalities, including the terrifying Beast. The increased presence of the beast in Glbad McAvoy prompted McAvoy to adopt a new physique to account for the scary presence of this character.
"I realized that if [director] Mr. Night Shyamalan's world suggests that the Marvel world and the DC worlds, and all the worlds of comics, are born of something that may be true, so the aesthetics of these worlds should perhaps to be coming from something that may be true too. "McAvoy had previously told Entertainment Weekly." So, I thought: I'll run with my shirt for half of the movie. I have to buy a bit in the aesthetics of the cartoon superhero, you know. What I did not necessarily have to do mbadively for the first film, because, in reality, I only had my shirt for two minutes at the end. I was in good shape and I made sure everything was fine, but I thought I'd better get fat this time. "
