The Center for Information and Industrial Development (CCID), which reports to China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, released its ninth update of the cryptographic project's ranking on Thursday. The center noted that it was the first update of this year and that 34 cryptography projects were evaluated, unchanged from the number filed in December.

The latest ranking puts BTC up from 18th place in the previous month's ranking to 15th place. BCH went from 30th to 28th.
