At the moment, it's no secret that Bill Maher is not the highest ranked in the comic book industry. After slamming readers and collectors of comics in a monologue on Real time with Bill Maher Earlier this weekend, many industry professionals spoke out against the shock scandal.
The last pro-comic force to speak up is none other than Joe Quesada, the Marvel chef. The creator turned creative director went on Twitter earlier in the evening to give Maher his ticket plus one for a future tribute to Stan Lee.
And @ Billmaher If you want, you can come with my plus-one, I promise you I will not ask you to read a comic, but I will ask you to donate to Hero and sign my copy of Iron Man 3.

"I promise you that I will not ask you to read a comic book," Quesada tweeted before throwing a snap at the host late at night. "But I will ask you to donate to Hero [Initiative] and sign my copy of Iron Man 3. "
Of course, the last part refers to the role of Maher in the film directed by Shane Black, something that fans do not hesitate to mention when the comedian denigrates comics and media superheroes.
