Thomas Partey, Ghana midfielder
Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey was at his usual best level for Atletico Madrid since he had provided help to their 2-0 win over Getafe in the Spanish Liga on Saturday afternoon.
The Rojiblanco lived up to their favorites when they dominated and beat Getafe on the 21st day of the Spanish championship at Wanda Metropolitano.
Antoine Griezmann opened the scoring for the hosts in the 27th minute with a slight lead over the edge of the box after a fine set-up by Thomas Partey.
Diego Simeone's men sealed the win 10 minutes later after a rebound fell on Saul Niguez who opened fire at close range.
Partey lasted the entire match, with the Madrid-based team registering its 44th point of the campaign.
