In one of the most controversial moments of Avengers: war in the infinitePeter Quill / Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) repeatedly hit Thanos (Josh Brolin) in the face, waking him from sleep as they struggled to remove the glove.

The fans immediately took sides on this issue, with a good number of fans thinking that the Guardian leader had ruined their attempt to destroy the Mad Titan. Of course, other fans have argued that Quill did what he had to do. A recent fan theory claims that Star-Lord was allowed to wake up Thanos as it was the only way for the hybrid group of Avengers and Guardians to win eventually.

Because he was trying to save energy for the last fight on Earth or the loss of Gamora (Zoe Saldana) still weighs him, Thanos was not doing his best.

For the theory to materialize, it would mean that Dr. Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) should have known Thanos was pulling his fists – that's why the Master of the Mystic Arts decided not to drive the guard away from the situation. According to the theory, Thanos would have felt the need to to expand his power without the Gauntlet Infinity, which means that Strange had always known that they should not remove the Gauntlet from Mad Titan.

Anyway, the whole situation is decisive, to say the least, with fans still talking about it today, almost a year after the film premiere. theatresa.
