Israeli group Delek Drilling and his American partner, Noble Energy, say the base of their platform for the Leviathan gas field has arrived.
The foundation, known as the Platform Jacket, is set Sunday about 10 kilometers off the Israeli coast. This is the first step of an ambitious project that they believe will divert Israel from coal and revolutionize its economy by turning it into an energy exporter.
