The ranger, who has not yet been identified, was transferred to the 37 military hospital for treatment.
Starrfmonline.com was gathered by unknown people in Agormanya, a member of the Forestry Commission.
The unidentified staff, who is a forest warden, is transferred to Accra's 37 military hospital after Friday night's shooting.
This development comes as a result of growing insecurity in the country as a result of killings and abductions of unresolved targets in recent years.
On Friday, another girl identified as Augustina, a freshman from Tarkwa High School also disappeared.
After Augustina, Emmanuel Ohene Gyan, of Empire News, obtained permission to visit her parents two days ago. However, he never went home and did not return to his school.
It is not known, however, whether Augustina was also kidnapped.
Isaac Sowah, deputy director of the school, told Empire News that the case had been reported to the Tarkwa police command and to the girl's family.
Mr. Sowah told Empire News that the school authorities were waiting for the police to open an investigation into the incident.
This comes after another girl, Maame Darkoa Anomah, has disappeared since last week in Takoradi, in the western region.
Darkoa Anomah, 25, was reportedly kidnapped in West Tanokrom.
The abductor reportedly warned the family not to report the case to the police.
A family member of the alleged victim told Emmanuel Ohene Gyan of Empire FM Thursday night: "She has been away since last week. We did not report to the police because we thought she would come back. Her father felt that she would come back. After receiving a message from someone on her phone telling her that she was being held back by kidnappers, we thought she was conspiring with someone to play him games. but she has not come back yet.
"We are starting to worry because it's not of this type. She is not the type to sleep outside or to stay out long, we worry now. We will now take steps to report the case to the police.
