James Charles, sensation on YouTube, stops the Birmingham Bullring Center

Parts of the city center were blocked on Saturday as 8,000 spectators gathered in the Bullring shopping center to see YouTuber James Charles.

During her visit to the mall, the beauty expert was greeted by four screaming followers, who blocked the walkways and escalators, but the drivers were stranded in long queues around the city center.

Drivers trying to leave the car parks found that they were stranded and some would have abandoned their vehicles overnight.

Suffolk Street Queensway, Navigation Street and Hill Street were all very crowded.

Celebrity vlogger Charles tweeted a video showing the huge influx of shopping mall. He said it was the biggest meeting session he had ever done.

"There were 8000 sisters (fans) at the mall, we keep breaking records every time, and I will never forget them literally today."
