The installation of more than 27,000 GHCs, with a capacity of 10,000 liters per minute, was created and funded by the Ghana Heritage Conservation Trust (GHCT) and the GHCT Advisory Committee in collaboration with the community.
The GHCT, whose mandate is to strengthen the socio-economic growth of the communities around the Kakum Conservation Reserve, serves as a catalyst for development and as a key facilitator for the implementation of sustainable conservation, protection, maintenance and mitigation measures. management of natural, cultural and regional resources. and historical heritage.
Osabarima Kwesi Atta II, Omanhen Traditional Zone of Oguaa, and the Chairman of the GHCT Advisory Committee expressed the Trust's determination to provide development projects to communities bordering the forest.
