Barcelona caused a stir to persuade Frenkie de Jong to refuse a move to Paris Saint-Germain in favor of a move to Nou camp by posting depressed messages from Nhatsmar on WhatsApp.
The Catalan giants beat the French club at the signing of Ajax's starlet earlier this week after paying out £ 65 million to bring the 21-year-old to the end of the season.
However, according to Spanish media ASBarcelona showed Dejong's text messages to Neymar's text messages to club leaders, where he complained about life in Ligue 1, which convinced the Dutchman to refuse a move.

Barcelona would have shown Neymar's WhatsApp texts to convince De Jong to join them
Neymar, who has become the most expensive player in the world after making his £ 198 million transfer to PSG since Barcelona in 2017, has been badociated with a return to his former team.
The text messages that were broadcast to De Jong would have revealed Neymar's wish to return to Barcelona after complaining about competitiveness and the physical nature of Ligue 1.
The 26-year-old also admitted that he was not happy with the weather in France and that he had made a mistake by joining PSG.
Neymar should face another spell after suffering foot injury against Strasbourg
However, in doing so, he will have persuaded De Jong to reject PSG's bid while inadvertently blocking his own return to the process.
A move for De Jong will most likely use the funds that would have been used for Neymar's return if Barcelona envisioned a return for the prolific striker.
This will be another bad news for Neymar after learning that he was about to leave his post after being injured again at the foot against Strasbourg earlier this week.
Due to his injury, he could miss the crucial shock between PSG and Manchester United in February.
