BEIJING, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) – A total of 2,804 people died of infectious diseases in China in December 2018, according to statistics released by the National Health Commission.
712,581 cases of infectious diseases were reported last month.
The commission stated that no case of clbad A infectious disease had been reported in December. Clbad A diseases, including cholera and plague, constitute the most serious clbadification of China's law on the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases.
A total of 289,613 infections of diseases clbadified as Clbad B infectious diseases were reported, resulting in 2,788 deaths in December. Viral hepatitis, tuberculosis, syphilis, scarlet fever and gonorrhea accounted for 93% of these cases.
Clbad C diseases caused 16 deaths in December. Foot-and-mouth disease, influenza and infectious diarrhea were the most prevalent in this category, accounting for 93% of cases.
