The Blues finally agreed on Wednesday a loan deal for Higuain after weeks of speculation. Alvaro Morata should be transferred to Atletico Madrid.
Gonzalo Higuain is not the right striker for Chelsea and will have a hard time playing in the same team as Eden Hazard and Willian, according to former Blues boss Ruud Gullit.
Chelsea finally agreed to bring Argentina to Stamford Bridge on Wednesday after weeks of speculation.
Higuain has been loaned by Juventus, Serie A champion, until the end of the season, while Alvaro Morata is expected to be transferred to Atletico Madrid.

Dutch legend Gullit, however, believes that the former Real Madrid striker is not flexible enough to work with the creative focal points of the team, Hazard and Willian.
Addressing BBC Sport, Gullit said: "Higuain is an old-fashioned striker who needs centers and, if he plays all the time ahead, he will not see a lot of bullets out there because of the way Eden Hazard and Willian play.
"These two always come inside and dribble or shoot and try to do things themselves.
"So they do not need a target player because Chelsea does not use one and under [Maurizio] Sarri, they never do.
"Instead, they need a central striker who can also play in midfield, be effective on the ball and be a finisher on the inside. Roberto Firmino, who comes so deeply for Liverpool, is the perfect example. "
Higuain will make his first start to the Blues against Sheffield Wednesday at Stamford Bridge on Sunday night.
At the same time, Hazard was targeted by Sarri after losing 2-0 to Arsenal last week. The Italian said that some of her stars were hard to motivate as they won a fourth league defeat of the season.
The Belgian had started the season in one of the best forms of his career, helping Chelsea at the start of a breathtaking game that had apparently put them in contention for a title title in the first weeks of the season.
He continues to be the subject of speculation linking him to a move to Real Madrid, speculation that has not dissipated despite the jerky form of the team and criticism of Hazard by Sarri.
"The next time we ask Sarri about Eden Hazard, he should avoid saying negative things, whatever he actually thinks," Gullit said.

"It's very, very risky to criticize your players in public like Sarri did this week – even if you know you're right.
"Sometimes, as a manager, you really want to be open about what you think, good or bad, and for the right reasons. You hope your players respond in the right way.
"But if this opening is misinterpreted by them, then you have more problems."
