PSG player injured in Neymar should miss out on first leg match with Man Utd

Neymar should miss PSG's first leg against Manchester United in the Champions League.

The Brazilian cried after being injured by a metatarsal in a Coupe de France victory over Strasbourg midweek.

PSG feared the injury was serious and it looks like Neymar is about to do a spell.

RMC Sport reports that the PSG superstar still can not weigh on his right foot and is told that he has no chance to qualify for the first leg at Old Trafford on February 12.

It is thought that he could still be forced to undergo an operation with the doctor from the Brazil team, who is scheduled to meet with PSG medical staff this week.

If Neymar were to go under the knife, he would certainly miss the second leg of the last 16 meeting of March 16th.

PSG leader Thomas Tuchel said the problem would become clearer this week.

"It's horrible, that's for sure, after Marco Verratti, now Ney," he said.

"They are key players, players of great quality, extraordinary quality, we miss them a lot, but at the same time, our challenge is to find a solution.

"It's the job of the whole team because we do not have players capable of playing like Marco or Ney, that would replace them perfectly, but we're a strong team and we stay together and we will show it. "
