Asante Kotoko have been coached alongside Al Hilal, Zesco United and Nkana FC in Group C
Asante Kotoko midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu revealed that his team was ready to face Al Hilal of Sudan in the Caf Confederation Cup, which will start next month.
Asante Kotoko is Ghana's only club in the inter-club competition in Africa in 2019, alongside Al Hilal, Zesco United and Nkana FC in Group C.
Agyeman Badu said after her 2-0 win over the Storm Academy that she was preparing for the Caf Confederation at Baba Yara Stadium, said the Porcupine Warriors were ready to face Al Hilal.
"We are very well prepared for the Al Hilal match, and I can badure you that we are always ready for the Confederation Cup," he said.
Asante Kotoko reached the group stage of the Caf Confederation Cup group stage for the first time in 11 years. Coach C.K Akunnor and his players have goals in qualifying despite the tough opponents they will face.
Badu echoed the same sentiment before his first appearance in the competition and thinks they have what it takes to reach the quarterfinals.
"Our goal is to be in the quarter-finals before the semi-finals and the last match because we (the players) want to leave a legacy or make the team's history." Asante Kotoko, as former footballers Baba Yara, Opoku Afriyie, Malik Jabir and Opoku Nti did, is our goal ".
The Reds will play alongside Sudan's Al Hilal and Zambia giants Nkana FC and Zesco United.
