A teacher from the Klo Agogo Anglican Primary School in Yilo Krobo District, East Region, was shot twice by suspected armed robbers.

The victim, Kofi Nartey, who would be 40, was admitted to the East Regional Hospital in Koforidua.

"He was hit by the ribs and by the hand. I just visited him at the hospital and he responds to the treatment. The state is not too good but not too serious. We hope that it will survive, "said a family member at Starr News.

The incident occurred Tuesday at dawn in Obawale, while the victim, who is also a mobile phone operator, was asleep.

Information gathered from the community indicate that it took the efforts of police and locals to apprehend one of the suspects, while efforts are underway to arrest other accomplices.

We do not know if the other accomplices managed to escape with valuables.

The people of Klo Agogo have been living in fear lately as a result of the increasing number of robberies in the area.

A few months ago, a community service station was attacked by thieves who hacked the head of one of the employees and took away more than 6,000 sales of GHC.

A few days later, armed robbers struck again to steal another resident.
