Cynthia Morrison, Minister of Women's Affairs, Children and Social Welfare, described Samuel Udoetuk-Wills, a Nigerian incarcerated for kidnapping three Ghanaian girls in Takoradi, Western Region, as "a villain boy and get money "for his action, but ended up shooting himself in the foot.

Ms. Morrison stated that she came to this conclusion after her face-to-face interview with the suspect, currently imprisoned in Takoradi.

"It's just a naughty boy who wanted to exploit, then everything exploded. He does not have a serious job and he knows the money. So he will use any means to make money and he's not alone, "Morrison told Benjamin Akakpo at the Executive Breakfast Show (EBS) on Clbad91. .3FM Tuesday, January 29, 2019.

One of the three victims, Ruth Love Quayeson, 18, was last seen on December 4, 2018. The other two, Priscilla Blessing Bentum, 21, were last seen August 17, 2018; and Priscilla Mantebea Koranchie, age 18, was last seen on December 21, 2018.

Ms. Morrison indicated that the suspect had started speaking but she declined to disclose the details of the conversation "for security reasons".

Ms. Morrison also said she was convinced that the missing girls would be found alive and reunited with their families, with the government and the police doing their utmost to make this happen.
