Football director Hearts of Oak and first-team head coach Kim Grant is delighted with the club's "progress" under his reign.

In November, the former Ghanaian international took over the Accra-based team for a three-year contract.

In the absence of any competitive action to test their strengths because of the current situation of Ghanaian football, the club has engaged in a series of friendly matches, the last match being ended by a 1-0 win over Uncle T United on Sunday.

"We are now looking for a winning mindset," said Grant, as indicated by Footballinginghana.

"Now we played 10 games and won eight. We only lost one and the same one, we made a lot of changes to the team.

"The attitude and the set we need are there. There is a lot of progress. New players also adapt very well to my tactics.

"I can change everyone in the team and bring in new players, but that will have no effect on us.

"For the moment, I want to work on player positioning and how we can easily convert our chances."

Grant has been tasked with restoring Phobian glory, which includes winning the Ghana Premier League, trophy won by the club in 2009.

He is also expected to lead the Accra-based group on the road to continental success, with his latest Champions League and Confederation Cup titles coming in 2000 and 2004, respectively.
