Zack Snyder returns to his zombie roots to lead and produce "Army of the Dead" at Netflix.
Snyder, whose most recent credits are "Justice League," "Batman v Superman: The Dawn of Justice" and "Man of Steel," made his directorial debut 15 years ago with "Dawn of the Dead ".
Joby Harold is writing the storyline for Snyder's story. "Army of the Dead" is created as a result of an epidemic of zombies in Las Vegas, when a group of mercenaries takes the ultimate gamble, venturing into the quarantine zone to achieve the greatest flight of attempted theft.

Snyder was in post-production on "Justice League" when a family tragedy forced him to withdraw from the film. Joss Whedon is busy taking new shots and has completed post-production.
Snyder's "Dawn of the Dead" is a remake of George A. Romero's 1978 film starring Sarah Polley, Ving Rhames, Jake Weber and Mekhi Phifer. He has reported $ 102 million worldwide with a budget of $ 25 million. This led Snyder and Harold to write a sequel to "Dawn of the Dead," which had been premiered at Warner Bros. but had finally been cleaned in 2012.
Snyder also directed "300", "Watchmen", "The Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole" and "Sucker Punch". He was producer in "Wonder Woman" and executive producer in "Aquaman".
