The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that Ghanaians will now have to use an electronic payment system to acquire pbadport forms.
With the latest developments, the old method of buying forms from local banks will no longer be acceptable.
In a statement watched by YEN.com.gh on Citinewsroom.com, this development will take effect from Thursday, February 28, 2019.
According to the statement signed by the ministry, the new development is to ensure that people pay the right pbadport application fees.
"The Department of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration wishes to inform the general public that, as of Thursday, February 28, 2019, the Pbadport Office and the Regional Application Centers (RACs) will cease to accept alumni manual pbadport application forms, which could be obtained from selected banks upon payment. "
Later, pbadport forms will only be uploaded to the Ministry's website, while fees will be paid via electronic payment platforms, including mobile money.
"In view of the above, all potential applicants and the general public are advised to take note and to learn that CCPs will only process applications with evidence of electronic payment of appropriate processing fees," adds the press release.
YEN.com.gh had previously indicated how applicants can access pbadport application forms for free. The official website of the Ministry indicates that pbadport applicants can now download their application forms online.
Applicants will need to download the PDF pbadport application form from the Ministry's website (www.mfa.gov.gh).
